The Pink Anchor Fund

The purpose of The Pink Anchor Fund is to provide financial relief to minority women & mothers under the age of 40 currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer or have recently completed treatment or surgery. The fund will assist with medical and household-related expenses to reduce stress and improve quality of life for both the patient and their children.
Support Areas May Include:

Rent or mortgage payments

Utilities (water, gas, electricity)

Medical bills or co-pays

Childcare or school-related costs

Transportation to medical appointments

Medical supplies (wigs, mastectomy bras, post-surgery garments, etc.)

Food assistance or grocery gift cards
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:

Identify as a woman of color
-
Can be a mother/mother figure with at least one dependent child (will be considered if they are primary care givers or contribute at least 50% to the care of the children)

Be under the age of 40

Have a current diagnosis of breast cancer and be in active treatment (chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, etc.) OR be no more than 3 months out of treatment

Live in the Richmond metro area

Demonstrate a financial need
Note: To serve more families in need, each mother/family may receive support from The Pink Anchor Fund only once within a calendar year. Past recipients of other APCF programs may apply but preference may be given to new applicants.
